A burst pipe blew a hole in the ceiling in Third North dining hall
Someone said it happened to ‘quench the Valentine’s Day thirst’
Third North was flooded yesterday after a burst pipe left a hole in the ceiling.
The fire alarm sounded at around 5pm.
A Snapchat video uploaded shortly afterwards to NYU’s 2019 class Facebook group showed water pouring from the ceiling into the dining hall.
Yesterday the temperatures in New York were as low as three degrees.
Following the incident in Third North dining hall the North Tower entrance was closed, and the courtyard and entrance were gritted.
