NYU freshman advertises for friends in ‘Class of 2019’ Facebook group
Just pay $10 an hour…
With the buzz about NYU Sugar Babies dying down, as well as a controversy about law alumni receiving an encouraging email to join the site, students are seeking a new type of arrangement. Except this one is platonic and not sexual.
Last night on the “NYU Class of 2019 Students” facebook page, Matthew Ericson posted a sales pitch: “I will be your friend for $10 an hour”.
His pitch appeals to those constantly sexiled by their roommate(s), tired of their humdrum settings, or simply need someone as a companion.
The cost is just $10 an hour.
He called it his new “friendship service” and included a picture of him having fun on his trampoline to really make the offer irresistible.
In 16 hours, the post has generated 275 likes with comments including “Everyone should do this” and a few mock Yelp reviews rating Ericson’s services.
The Tab NYU tried to reach Matthew Ericson for a comment before press time, but did not receive a response.
So, Matthew just know that we would love to be your friend.
