BSU to host an NYU blackout this Monday

Students of color and their allies are required to wear all black

The Black Student Union announced today they will be hosting a blackout on Monday, November 16 at 10am  Kimmel.

A wave of blackout protests is currently sweeping the country’s universities, as students demonstrate in solidarity with the students of Yale and The University of Missouri (Mizzou) amid simmering racial tensions.

In particular, a blackout is a form of protest in which supporters wear all black, which is a requirement by the BSU for this Monday’s event, during which they also plan on hanging up signs along the Grand Staircase.
