Here’s what you missed at Flurry 2015

It was a night of merriment and trust-falls

Whether you’re a fan of almost breaking your ankles or reliving your youth, IRHC’s annual Flurry is always the highlight of the Fall Semester.

This year, with more attendees than ever before, we decided to see what all the hype was about.

The one thing Flurry is known for year-after-year? THE INFAMOUS LINE.

If you arrive any time after six you’re basically going to be spending the next 30-45 minutes getting to know the people next to you before you get into the rink.

But hey! You get to meet cool new people who may become your new best pals. Or you might just be spending those 30 minutes awkwardly scrolling through Instagram. Your choice!
If you’re going to come to Flurry, be prepared to fall on your ass at least twice.

No biggie! But just don’t expect to skate like an Olympian on the first try — and definitely anticipate random strangers hanging on to you for dear life as they take the plunge..
But let’s be honest: Flurry is the best excuse for a FREE date night, with the cutest couples everywhere.
But keep your chin up, single ladies and gentlemen, because we are entering peak cuffing season!
And also because, as with any NYU event, we had some serious fashionistas on the ice. Behold: the best dressed of Flurry.

And for those of you with no date, there’s plenty of room to fly solo or have a night out with friends. But, if your friends are those couples, third wheeling is great too.

(Hand-holding with your couple-friends allows you to balance better than anyone else on the ice, duh. #physics)

Now we’ve made a new annual tradition, raffles from The Tab!

This year we raffled off Dylan’s Candy Bar gift baskets with candy and t-shirts.

Congrats to our lucky few and those who helped us reach over 1000 likes on our Facebook page! Make sure to keep “tabs” on The Tab for possible raffles in the future. (Because, obviously, ours are the best.)

A big thank you for everyone who came out to Flurry, and we’ll see you all next year.
