Milo Yiannopoulos event cancelled at Notre Dame

He apparently has ‘an urgent personal matter’

Just this morning, Milo Yiannopoulos, a controversial British journalists and entrepreneur, announced he is no longer speaking at Notre Dame tonight.

He had planned to attend with Christina Hoff Sommers, author and scholar who has spoken out vehemently against modern-day feminism. The event, hosted by the Notre Dame College Republicans, was titled “Restoring Common Sense to Feminism.”

In a message on the event’s Facebook page, the hosts wrote: “It is with profound disappointment that we write to inform you of the cancellation of tonight’s event. Apparently there was simply no way to restore any semblance of common sense to a grossly outdated and distorted ideology. Kidding, of course.

“Unfortunately, our executive board was informed this morning of an ‘urgent personal emergency’ which has precluded Milo Yiannopoulos from traveling to Notre Dame.

“The possibility of rescheduling the event for a later date is being explored to the fullest extent.”
