NCSU Veterinary Hospital covers cost of Daniel the alpaca’s treatment

He belongs to a family from Colfax

Daniel the alpaca is a beloved part of the Perez family’s farm in Colfax, NC. This week, he ate a maple leaf and got very sick because of it. His owners called their vet, who had them take Daniel to NC State’s vet hospital for emergency treatment.

The University called the family and offered to pay for the rest of Daniel’s medical treatment. He will need dialysis, which is a costly process.

“I can’t believe they’re doing this and I’m happy. I’m extremely happy. I don’t have any words to say. I don’t think ‘Thank you’ is enough,” Ninel Perez said.

Shout out to the veterinary hospital for being so generous to a family in need.
