Watch: This is the NC State Counseling Center video that just won an Emmy

#StopTheStigma aims to raise awareness of mental health on campus

We can now add an Emmy to NC State’s trophy case. The NCSU Counseling Center created a video titled “#StopTheStigma” to bring awareness to mental health on campus and suicide prevention. It just won an Emmy in the Public Affairs category for “excellence in visual storytelling.”

The video features three students telling stories of past suicide attempts, and first aired at the Stop the Stigma suicide prevention vigil on NCSU’s campus in 2015.

StoryDriven, a video company based in Durham, produced the video with the counseling center.
