Scoring a 95.09 on WalletHub's scale, Ann Arbor was determined to be the most educated city in America. The win was a landslide victory, with the second place city scoring more than 16 points below Ann Arbor.
The website used nine metric statistics related to number of degrees earned and how they are being put into use to determine that Ann Arbor, Michigan is the most educated city in the country.
Compared to 150 other metropolitan cities, Ann Arbor scored the highest in educational attainment and quality of education and attainment gap, which were crucial deciding factors for the study.
Washington, D.C. came in second, and Lansing was not far behind at number 14.
Grand Rapids, Detroit, and Flint were also ranked lower on the list.
