UMich student ‘pushed over and yelled at in religious attack’

An incident of ‘ethnic intimidation’ was reported

A UMich student was yelled at for her religion and pushed down a hill, according to a police report.

Public Safety officers released an alert this afternoon calling for witnesses to a report “a student pedestrian was approached by two men, who yelled at her about being in America, made reference to religion and then pushed her down a hill.”

It was said to happen near South University Avenue and Washtenaw Avenue. It is still unclear what religion the student is.

This incident, which was said to have occurred on November 12, came before alt-right posters were noticed by a PhD student. They detailed illegal immigrant hotlines and the number of white men who voted for Trump – and how America is still “their country.”

We have contacted UMich for comment.
