Hold the phone: Dantonio was interrupted by a Moana ringtone?
He swears it was a reporters phone, not his
Michigan State football moral has been brought down by the unexpected loss to Northwestern. And, as usual, Mark Dantonio took to a press conference to discuss and analyze the game. But this press conference was like no other, in the most somber of discussion, Dantonio was interrupted — not by another question, but by a song.
That's right, a phone resting on the podium started playing a song from the hit movie Moana sang by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
People initially thought that Dantonio had the song set as a ringtone on his phone, but it turns out it was one of the attending reporters' phone.
The incident has since gotten a lot of attention.
Both Dwayne Johnson and Lin-Manuel Miranda (who wrote the song) tweeted about it.
Lesson learned here, even in the most somber of times Moana will always be here to create smiles.
