Blaze Pizza is about to take EL by storm

The popular restaurant will be located next to Panda Express on Grand River

Grand River is about to get a new addition just in time for the start of the Spring semester: it looks as though Blaze Pizza will be the moving in next to the new Panda Express. 437 W. Grand River will be home to the rapidly growing pizza restaurant that is known for its fast service and delicious menu.

The doors are set to open in the Spring of 2017 which gives the company less than six months to finish the project. Although it looks like they haven’t started with construction work yet, expect to see workers and materials coming in to the area within the next week.

A Representative from The State News spoke to Rachel Albritton, a public relations representative with Blaze Pizza Midwest. In her interview she said that the restaurant will be giving away free pizza all day when the newest location opens up.“Literally, from open to close we will give away free pizza all day,” she said. “It’s a really great way to introduce ourselves to the community. If people haven’t had fast casual pizza before sometimes it can be confusing. We want to get people in the store to try it for the first time.”

Albritton also spoke about the popularity of Blaze and how she thinks it will be successful in East Lansing. She believes that with the pizza place with be a huge hit since the food and atmosphere connect with both the students and families that live in the area.

Start the Spring semester by checking out Blaze pizza. Whether you are treating yourself or trying to eat away the hang over from Spring welcome week, it will be fun to try a new restaurant, and who knows, MSU might find that Blaze Pizza is their new favorite eatery.
