Someone stole Sparty’s golf cart and dumped it in the Red Cedar

They’re offering a $1000 reward… kinda

In the hours between 9-11pm on April 3rd,  Sparty’s prized golf cart was stolen from its parking spot near the MSU Union, and was left in the Red Cedar River near the MSU computer store. The MSU alumni association is now offering a reward for information regarding who stole Sparty’s wheels.

The director of the mascot program, Clint Stevens, said that for whoever turns in information about the cart’s disappearance, there will be a $1,000 donation made to a student ran club of that person’s choice. They will also receive a pair of tickets for an MSU home game during the 2016 football season.

The Alumni association is  guaranteeing that the person who comes forward will remain anonymous and Sparty himself will deliver the hefty check to the organization that you choose.

Due to the destruction of the cart, it suffered severe water damage from being thrown into the Red Cedar and will need to be replaced. With over 500 appearances made per year, the cart essential to Sparty making his rounds at events all over campus.
