When this high schooler’s father was too sick to make it to his graduation, he surprised him in hospital

‘When he saw me, he smiled and squeezed my hand real hard’

A high school graduate shared a touching moment of visiting his father in hospital after leaving his ceremony.

Tre’ High graduated from Ridge View with a scholar-athlete award and is heading to Coastal Carolina with a scholarship to play football.

So when his father was unable to make the ceremony after a stroke, Tre’ brought the ceremony to him.

Tre’ told The Tab:

“So a couple of weeks ago, my dad had a stroke and he’s been in the hospital ever since then. He’s missed my last few senior events because of it, so me and my mom were talking one day and we kinda figured that he wouldn’t be able to make my graduation last Saturday. My mom said ‘how about you surprise him one day with you in your cap and gown?’ And when he saw me, he smiled and squeezed my hand real hard.

His father is now getting better. Tre’ said: “It’s OK, he’s progressing everyday so that’s all the counts.”
