JMU ranked third best school in the nation by students

Because we know what’s up

If you’re a college student, you’ve probably used Rate My Professor, but in case you haven’t, it’s a website where students can go to rate their classes and professors based on helpfulness, easiness, clarity and, oddly enough, hotness.

JMU’s standings on Rate My Professors

They also rate schools and recently released a list of the best schools in the nation, rated by students. As you can see in the picture above, students can rate their schools based on reputation, internet accessibility and reliability, opportunity, campus, social opportunities, location, food, library, clubs, and happiness. That’s quite an extensive list!

The lowest score JMU received was on their internet and even that was a pretty high score. In the past, JMU’s internet has been patchy at best, however, they recently “boosted” the wifi in Carrier. I don’t know if you have or not, but I have certainly noticed a difference in the reliability of JMU’s wifi.

No one should be surprised that campus received a 4.8 score – it’s beyond beautiful. On pretty days, students flock to the quad for the great atmosphere and views.

Location got a high score as well, because Harrisonburg is amazing! Beyond having four breweries, awesome restaurants, and tons of great food trucks, Harrisonburg is so beautiful with lots of parks and hiking locations!

Reddish Knob–a scenic location an hour from JMU

It should also come as no surprise that happiness and reputation received high scores. JMU is known as being one of the most polite schools. Everyone is kind, happy, and crazy for JMU. We hold doors for everyone, thank our bus drivers and faculty, and appreciate our school.

So congratulations, JMU, on receiving third best college in the nation!

JM-we love U!
