Everything you need to know to prepare for the Anthony Nazaire murder retrial

The jury is still being chosen

Anthony Nazaire, a sophomore business school student at Ithaca College, was fatally stabbed on Cornell's campus on August 28, 2016.

The incident occurred after a party at Omega Psi Phi in Willard Straight Hall.

Another victim, Raheim Williams, was injured in the stabbing but recovered from their wounds.

Ithaca resident Nagee Green, 23, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder of Anthony Nazaire while waiting at a bus stop on November 7, 2016.

According to The Ithaca Voice, Green's car was held at a traffic stop and contained marijuana and cocaine in April 2016.

It apparently took the Ithaca Police Department over two months to arrest a suspect due to hundreds of leads.

During the trial in June 2017, the prosecution revealed DNA evidence of the knife used in the stabbing and Snapchat videos.

The June trial lasted 10 days and was dismissed as a mistrial.

Jury selection for the upcoming trial began on September 15.
