EXCLUSIVE: HiFashion announces on-trend ‘Sporting Gold’ as this year’s theme

It was a summer of sport, and we all know athleisure is the key comfy fashion trend on campus.
It makes sense that ‘Sporting Gold’ is the highly anticipated theme behind this year’s Ithaca Colleges’ HiFashion Studios Fashion Show, revealed in a classy promo video today.
Pull out your best outfits and join HiFashion on November 17th for their biannual fashion show. At Ithaca College the students themselves organize and put on a biannual fashion show. From calling stores to retrieve clothing to marketing the event and model rehearsals, the students put in what they know best in order to run a fashion show.
Shey Aponte, president of HiFashion Studios told The Tab:
“It will be a night full of fun and excitement.
“Our team has worked on creating the best of the best for this event and we are so excited to share it with you guys.
“Everyone loves Sports, whether it’s watching it or playing, we all have a connection to it and same with fashion. I’m really excited to bring both to light on November 17th in Emerson Suites.”
“We wanted to honor the trends that were presented during the most recent Olympic Games in Rio. We wanted this show to be refreshing take on what it is we usually do.
“In addition to the Olympic Games, we couldn’t help but notice how prevalent athlesiure has been in all of our lives. We thought it would be interesting to combine the Olympic and athleisure trends into one cohesive runway show.”
Get ready to be entertained by not just the models, but acts such as Voice stream and Ithaca Beatbox, oh and everyone’s favorite, DJ Washburn. There will also be a raffle that you don’t want to miss out on. Join the student run organization on November 17th Doors open at 7 p.m. and show starts at 8 p.m.
