Ithaca student killed in stabbing incident identified

Police have confirmed the victim is 19-year-old Anthony Nazaire

The Ithaca College student who was stabbed to death early Sunday morning at Cornell University has been identified.

Anthony Nazaire, 19, was an Ithaca sophomore from Brooklyn, NY, where he lived with his mother and 24-year-old sister.

He was studying Business Administration at Ithaca with the hopes of becoming an entrepreneur to help his family.

Nazaire’s cousin, Chanelle Nazaire, told The Ithaca Voice her brother was a good student and was never in trouble with the law.

“It’s very hard for me to even understand. I’m still in denial about it,” she said.

She said her family is asking anyone with photos or videos of what happened last night to contact the police.

The other Ithaca student who survived the stabbing incident has not been identified yet.

Police are still investigating the details of the incident.
