Kinnick Stadium’s newest addition: The Tigerhawk at centerfield

The 2017 Hawkeye football season will be played on brand new Astroturf

The University of Iowa and Hawkeye Football program recently announced that a brand new Kinnick Stadium would be ready for the 2019 football season, and the renovations are already underway. The $89 million project would bring a new videoboard, concourse, concessions, restrooms and more than 1,600 seats to the stadium, but the latest and truly most exciting renovation is the new field.

Kinnick Stadium now has a new Astroturf field, featuring crisp and clean end zone designs and finally, a Tigerhawk at centerfield.

Live in front of the newest addition to Kinnick Stadium ? don't mind me, just swooning over this place in my hard hat ?

We can’t lie, Kinnick Stadium has never looked so good, and it’s only going to get better as more renovations are made. We can’t wait to see what our field looks like when the entire project is completed.

On Iowa, Go Hawks!
