Harvard professor starts viral campaign to bring Conan O’Brien to Stats class

It’s called #stat104conan

Harvard professor Michael Parzen is urging his students to tweet with the hashtag #stat104conan in an attempt to lure Conan O’Brien ’85, to visit his Statistics class.

In an email sent to his students for Statistics 104: Introduction to Quantitative Methods for Economics, Professor Parzen appealed to bring “local Brookline, MA celebrity Conan O’Brien” to his class next Friday.

The famed late night host and former president of The Harvard Lampoon will visit Harvard next week to meet with Drew Faust, or as Professor Parzen puts it, to “probably talk about global warming, or divesting the endowment from fossil fuels.”

This is email he sent out:

#stat104conan

Whatever his reason for visiting Harvard is we can all agree: what does Conan have to do with Statistics?

Finally my own plea to Mr. O’Brien:

So go out and tweet #stat104 and make the kids in that class happy.
