Party’s over: mandatory evacuation issued for Heritage Grove
The evacuation was issued just hours before Irma is scheduled to hit
Residents were alerted about an hour ago that there is a mandatory evacuation in place for Heritage Grove. This is ahead of Hurricane Irma, which is supposed to hit Tallahassee late tonight.

A maintenance employee told The Tab that Heritage is closing "as a precautionary measure, due to possible structural issues and problems with construction."
Tallahassee has been vigilantly preparing for the storm, with FSU closed through next Friday and most stores closed for the day.
