Shooting at The Commons pool party on Tharpe St
There were officers everywhere
The Tallahassee Police Department confirmed a shooting at The Commons at Tallahassee apartments on West Tharpe Street, around 7pm Sunday evening.
According to a passerby, Christine Borden, “[The Commons] were having a pool party, and someone started shooting. There were six or seven ambulances, three fire rescue trucks, and several of the small fire rescue vehicles at Winn-Dixie, waiting to enter The Commons. Officers were everywhere.”
Derwin James, FSU football safety, posted a video to his Instagram story from the pool party at The Commons earlier today. It is unknown if James was there when the shooting occurred.
A Twitter user uploaded videos to Twitter earlier this evening, while the shooting was taking place.
