Student erases graffiti on bathroom mirrors and calls out ‘snowflakes’ at FSU

‘Stop defacing my school’

Friday afternoon, FSU student Michael Stevens posted a series of photos in the FSU Craigslist Facebook group, along with a message telling snowflakes to “stop defacing my school. I got hand sanitizer all day.” The photos attached showed communist and anarchist symbols, with “join the resistance” written on a mirror and “Instant Trump Speech Machine” written on the hand dryer.

This comes just days after “RESIST” was spray painted in large, red letters on the wall in a Williams bathroom.

When asked why he removed the graffiti and chose to advertise it, Stevens said, “Everyone has a political opinion but they don’t belong on bathroom mirrors.”

“I don’t care who the President is, they deserve respect from the nation they lead. That doesn’t always mean agreeing with the current administration at the time. There are civil ways to make your voice heard if you are passionate about a current issue. However the person graffitiing campus isn’t using those avenues to start a discussion.”

The comments on his post range from support of the resistance to dissent over the use of the Craigslist group for a political discussion.
