CONFIRMED: Richard Spencer will be speaking at UF

‘Florida is happening’

A little over a month after the original speaking engagement was cancelled, Richard Spencer has confirmed he will be speaking on the University of Florida campus.

He is most famous for preaching about the advantages of a "white ethno-state," causing controversy and fear among the Gainesville community. Although UF president Kent Fuchs denounced Spencer's rhetoric, Spencer has threatened to take legal action if not allowed to speak on campus. The original September 12th event was cancelled because of Hurricane Irma; however, a cryptic tweet sent by Spencer hinted at his arrival.

It is now confirmed that the Neo-Nazi will be speaking on October 19th.

The university has yet to release a statement.
