101 Cantina officially closing tonight following a lawsuit with their landlords
RIP they just killed the club
After a lawsuit with their landlords, Mid’s beloved 101 Cantina is closing. Home to happy hour and infamous Sunday Fundays, Tina was a Mid staple.
Tina made it Facebook official today with a post that read:
“With much heartache, the day that we never thought would happen is now upon us. This will be 101 Cantina’s final night open in Gainesville. We fought tooth and nail to keep this business open as long as possible for our adoring customers, staff, and simply because it’s our baby.”
They thanked all their customers and staff saying they “wouldn’t be where we are today without all of the staff that has busted their asses for us through the years. We won’t forget any of you. We developed a culture that felt like family, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Thank you all so much.”
Tonight is their final night open here in Gainesville — the perfect opportunity to drink our sorrows.
#RIPCantina, you will be missed.
