UF student arrested and charged with sexual battery

Parker Griffie is being held at Alachua County Jail for the first-degree felony

UF student Parker G. Griffie was arrested on Monday and charged with sexual battery. The 18-year-old was named as an attacker by a fellow student at the University of Florida. According to her, he sexually battered her at her residence hall after he initially refused to leave her dormitory.

On November 5, the female student said they went back to her residence hall after an off-campus function. After she managed to get Griffie out, she informed the authorities. Weeks later, after an investigation and the analysis of evidence relating to the crime, the issued arrest warrant landed him in Alachua County Jail.
