BREAKING: New Engineering Building closed due to bomb threat
Staff members found a handwritten note in the women’s restroom
UF has closed the New Engineering Building (NEB) located on Center Drive due to an unspecified bomb threat.
Staff members found a handwritten note in the women’s restroom.
UFPD has set up a perimeter around the building and are continuing an investigation of officers and K9 units.
The building has been evacuated and closed until 3pm. Classes for today have been cancelled, but will resume tomorrow.
UF sent out an email to engineering students and did not send out a campus-wide alert since law enforcement officials believe that the situation is contained and isolated.
