Police still pursuing suspect of armed robbery near UF campus

At 5:07PM: Police released a Public Information Bulletin with the suspect’s photo and information

His name is William “Kyle” Rossignol

At 1:55pm this afternoon University of Florida students received an alarming alert about an armed robbery at Shands Teaching Hospital.

Minutes following, the suspect, William  was seen heading away from campus near SW 28th terrace.

A alert reveal that the suspect is a 140lb male with a goatee, wearing a black shirt with a skull on the front.

At 5:30PM time officials informed that the same clothes were recovered, revealing that the suspect likely changed.

Gainesville Police Department has been tweeting about the incident, saying that there is a shelter in place, and reminding individuals to call 911 if the suspect is seen.

Students are commenting on the alerts and status of the incident.

Police are still pursuing the suspect.
