Democracy does it all: an illustration

Earlier this year, we witnessed our friends in Britain make a decision that was to change their lives tremendously.

Many of us laughed, “those poor Brits”, we said, passively reading news articles of their suffering. And as this was happening, we failed to realize that the same system was waiting to bring just as big a change in our lives soon too.

Democracy – is it “working”? This cartoon attempts to raise that very question.

What do people exactly want from democracy? But if they want it, should they regulate it? Would that not destroy the entire purpose?
