Her competitors were four-day champion Matt Jackson and new player Greg Vinton, both of whom who led for the majority of the show.

Early on, Ezgi correctly answered a question in the “EX”CELLENT! category: “Like a foot or a hand, it’s a part of something that is farthest from the main part.”

Ezgi said: “What is an extremity?” Correct!

It was clear the buzzer was difficult for Ezgi. She said: “If you buzz too early, they’ll lock you out for a split-second, so that’s enough time for your competitors to get in.”

But, the Final Jeopardy question determined the outcome of the game. The category was “Shakespeare characters,” and asked: “8-letter name shared by a tragic heroine and Uranus’ innermost known moon.”

Going into Final Jeopardy, Ezgi had $2,000 and made a wager of $0 towards the question. She answered incorrectly, with a 7-letter Ophelia.

Greg, who had $17,200 prior to Final Jeopardy, wagered $15, 801. His incorrect answer was also a 7-letter name, Titania. This put him in final place, with a total of $1,339.

Matt gave the right answer: Cordelia. He is now a five-day champion, who after last night has won a total of $140,401.
