Where is the best pizzeria in NYC?

Because everyone loves pizza

Pizza.

It’s simple. It’s delicious. It’s its own food group.

It’s a fact that New York City has the best pizza in the US. (If you’re a Chicago deep-dish pizza fan, I respect your opinion.) But where exactly is the best pizza to be found here? There’s a pizzeria on almost every block, but which one serves the best slice?

Let’s find out.

“A lot of the dollar pizza, y’know, but Lombardi’s. A lot is freshly cooked. The crust is not too thick, not too thin, and it’s on point. It’s Italian so they’re lit. They put egg like in or around the pizza. It’s classic Italian and I think it’s the best.”

Jonathan, 18, Undecided

“Pastafina. Got some kickass Buffalo chicken pizza.”

Elizabeth, 18, Undecided

“Valentino’s on Kissena Boulevard, by Queens College.”

Zod, 20, Media Studies

“I like dollar pizza. I have low standards, so I’m OK with that.”

Michael, 22, Undecided

“Nonna Gina in Sunnyside.”

Maha, 20, English

“I don’t know if it counts because they do other things, but they have halal pizza at Al Madina. It’s somewhere in Ozone Park.”

Rachel, 20, Anthropology and English

“DeNino’s in Staten Island.”

Sebastian, 20, Anthropology

“The cheapest one? The best one is the cheapest one.”

John, 18, Undecided

“Vinny Vincent’s on 1st and 14th. The vodka slice…”

Alex, 18, Political Science

“That’s tough. It’s either L&B Spumoni or Lenny’s in Bensonhurst. I like their Grandma slices.”

DJ, 21, Journalism

“I’m a fan of Joe’s Pizza on Bleecker St.”

Nishat, 18, Undecided

“Does Pizza Hut count as a pizzeria?”

Joshua, 24, English

“Uh, difficult… Pastafina? The only one I ever go to out of convenience.”

So there you have it. It’s actually impossible to track down the one pizzeria that is above all others in this city.

Oh, and what’s my personal favorite? Grimaldi’s down in DUMBO. It’s worth the price.

Trust me.
