Two CU football players won’t play Friday after fight outside Walrus Saloon

‘Last night I let the party get the best of me’

Last Saturday night, following the CU Football win against Utah, two CU football players were arrested following a fight outside the Walrus Saloon.

Jaleel Awini, a senior wide receiver from Aurora is facing drug charges as police allegedly found cocaine in Awini’s wallet after he was knocked unconscious by fellow teammate Christopher Hill and taken to the hospital.

Christopher Hill, a senior tight end from Highlands Ranch is facing an assault charge for the brawl he and Awini got in following being kicked out of the Walrus Saloon for being too drunk.

Both players will not be allowed to play in Friday’s Pac-12 championship game.

Hopefully these arrests will not slow down the Buff’s winning streak as they head into their game against Washington this Friday. The Buffs have displayed the greatest overall improvement in Pac-12 history from on year to the next.

Head coach of our CU Buffs, Mike MacIntyre was just named Pac-12 Conference Coach of the year, and 16 CU football players received all Pac-12 football team honors for 2016.

Looking forward to the game this Friday, Buffs!
