Columbia just pulled a Steve Harvey and accidentally sent 277 acceptance letters to the wrong applicants
They really screwed up this time
Every student remembers the moment they were accepted to Columbia. But imagine instead being accepted then receiving an email an hour later saying that it was a mistake.
On Wednesday, the Columbia University School of Public Health’s Master’s program did just that, sending out emails that “incorrectly implied” to 277 applicants that they had been accepted.
The University said that they noticed the mistake immediately and sent out emails announcing the mistake within an hour.
Vice Dean for Education Julie Kornfeld says Columbia “deeply” apologizes.
