Campaign to get Obama to carnival anyone?

In case you were wondering why the buses were backed up, a space shuttle was outside the UC, and a ton of men in suits were hanging out on campus today, our president, Barack Obama, was visiting CMU.

If you weren’t one of the few students chosen randomly to attend the event, chances are you didn’t get to see the President in Wiegand Gym (though you might have snapped a picture of the Secret Service surrounding the building).

Lucky for you, we had a man inside, and got you covered.

Here are the best pictures of the event:

The White House Frontiers Conference focused on the use of American technology and innovation to explore and expand new fields of science, from space exploration to artificial intelligence and environmentally-friendly energy.

Panelists discuss technological innovation in their respective fields.

Thanks to Jason DSLR Chen Photography for all the photos.
