Bucknell creates immigration ban updates website

President Bravman sent out a campus-wide email regarding the matter

President Donald Trump’s recent executive order banning immigration from seven Muslim-majority countries has been highly controversial, provoking reactions from across the country.

On Bucknell’s campus both a vigil and walk-out with teach-ins were held last week in response to the order, serving as a forum for students and faculty to unite and express their reactions. President Bravman came out declaring that the university strongly supports diversity and thus opposes the nature of the ban.

On February 3rd, he released a website with information relating to immigration with the promise of keeping our campus community updated on all relevant manners.

In the face of such a politically tumultuous period, it is important to stay informed as a community and to create an atmosphere of respect and acceptance.
