BREAKING: Law building evacuated
Not again….
The Law Building was evacuated at 11am this morning. Around 200 students waited outside near the GSU plaza and behind the Theology Building.
According to Lieutenant Giannopoulos of BUPD, the steam detector in the basement was the cause of the evacuation.
Natalie Brunette, a junior bio medical engineering major who was one of the students evacuated, said there were two firetrucks on scene, but no other emergency vehicles.
At 11:25am, students in a systems physiology class were allowed to go into the Law Auditorium for their class. At the time, BUPD and Boston Fire officials kept the rest of the students from going into the rest of the Law Building.
The area was cleared out by noon, with classes resuming as scheduled.
