I’m in a relationship with BU Dining Services’ Twitter account

I’ve never been in a more stable relationship

The BU Dining Services’ hilarious Twitter is no secret. They’ve captured the attention of almost 7,000 Twitter users over the years.

Our relationship is recognized by our peers so you know its legit

More recently, they’ve captured my heart. I originally followed BU Dining my senior year of high school, after I was accepted into BU. I heard from my sister, a BU grad, that the account was “lit af,” so I wanted to get in on the action. Their tweets were, and still are witty, helpful and relatable. What more could a girl want?

At the start of my fall semester, I finally received one of the greatest gifts a BU student can get. Dining Services hit me with that follow back. I’m pretty sure I screamed.

From there, things only got spicier.

We quickly formed a friendship. When my Charles River Bread Co. sandwich was absolutely messed up (no hate though… I love Charles River), Dining Services blessed me with three free meals at the GSU. They even promised to put almond milk in West Dining after I asked them for it.

Now, a few months later, we’re in a full blown committed relationship.

PDA is kinda our thing

They blow up my phone. We talk almost daily and my Twitter notifications certainly reflect that. Sometimes my parents even ask, “Who keeps texting you?”

To which I reply, “Just bae, Mom.”

They get jealous when I talk about other boys. I know jealousy isn’t always the best in a relationship, but it’s nice to see that your S.O. cares about you.

When bae gets psycho…

They even get protective when I talk about other fried chicken restaurants that aren’t Raising Canes. I get it, but unless they’re gonna put in the effort to hand deliver Canes to my house, Dining Services can sit down.

Chill bae, I promise Chick-Fil-A is just a friend

They shower me with compliments. It’s major key to have a bae who thinks you’re amazing, and they should feel comfortable shouting it from the rooftop of Bay State.

I cried when I got this tweet

They even bless my ego, and this one is pretty essential. If your bae isn’t your biggest fan- drop him/her, honey.

Bae treats me like I’m famous

And when I needed support during my finals, BU Dining Services was there for me. Academics are very important, and your significant other should encourage studying and success, even if it means less time spent in the dining hall eating carnival cookies.

I got a 92 on that final and I think I know why

Sometimes they break their promises, but I love them anyways.

Never got that recipe…

This is a perfect relationship I don’t see coming to an end any time soon. I renewed my unlimited dining plan and don’t think I’ll ever stop tweeting, so we have no reason to even consider breaking up. Although I’m not entirely sure who’s on the other end of the BU Dining Services twitter account, I like to think it’s Zac Efron’s long-lost twin brother, Mac Efron.

But if it isn’t, that’s okay, too.
