We’re here at the finish of the marathon with updates on what’s going on

Today is the 120th Boston Marathon.

It takes runners all over Boston and we are here at the finish on Boylston Street with all of the updates.

The ceremony for the women’s push rim wheelchair top finishers is underway. Tatyana McFadden, an American, won the event for the women.

The women’s world champion for push rim wheelchair just finished.

The men’s push-rim wheelchair participants are finishing now. A man from Switzerland came in first win second place right behind him.

There aren’t as many American elite here because of Olympic training.

The elite women’s first five kilometers were run in just over 18 minutes.

The elite women started not too long ago and the elite men just took off two minutes ago.

The elite women finished their first mile in about six minutes. This is slower than in past years.

It’s warmer than usual, so runners will be going at a slower pace than normal.

The announcers are telling spectators to keep hydrated and be careful because of the sun and heat.
