Dance Marathon comes to Boston College

Twelve hours of dancing for a cause

We all remember the email last December that lead to a school wide free-for-all in our inboxes.

What many people didn’t notice however, is what that email was all about.

Calling you all out…

Dance Marathon is a nationwide movement, involving college students across the country who raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network hospital in their community. Entirely student-run, Boston College Dance Marathon is in its first year. The Children’s Miracle Network hospital that we will be raising money for is the Boston Children’s Hospital.

BC Dance Marathon will take place on April 22 to April 23 and we hope to see more than 250 students and community members participate in the 12-hour event to help us raise a goal of $25,000 for the BCH community.

It will be a night filled with good music, free food, performances from BC dance groups, and an overwhelming sense of hope for these kids. In the last hour on the morning of the 23rd the families of BCH that can will be joining us for a special ceremony and last dance before we present our final total raised.

Come dance with Lucas

For those kids who can’t

Together we can make a huge difference for kids like Lucas. He is a preschooler who was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome – only half of his heart was working. He has had three heart surgeries at BCH that have saved his life. His parents and doctors couldn’t have helped him become the happy healthy kid he is today if it weren’t for donations like ours.

If you would like to sign up as a dancer to help raise money for such an amazing cause, or donate to those who are dancing you can do so directly here. You can also check out the Facebook page to see what other Eagles will be dancing for those who can’t and find more stories about BCH and what we are supporting.
