Doug Flutie joins the Dancing With the Stars cast

He can now add dancer to his resume

Boston College football legend and former Buffalo Bills quarterback will now take his talents to the dance floor.

Doug Flutie (’84) will join the season 22 cast of Dancing with the Stars. His partner will be be Karina Smirnoff, who has danced 11 seasons on Dancing with the Stars and won season 13 with Army veteran and soap opera star J.R. Martinez.

The celebrity performers were announced this morning on “Good Morning America.” The 53-year-old former football star will join Denver Broncos Superbowl 50 MVP Von Miller and Pittsburgh Steeler Antonio Brown.

Flutie is famous for his Hail Mary touchdown pass in 1984 that helped BC defeat defending national champion Miami. In addition to winning the Heisman Trophy during his college football career at Boston College. His pass remains one of the greatest plays in college football history.
