How much does one class cost at Boston College?

One minute on Facebook is more expensive than you may think

We’ve all gone through the cost-benefit analysis of what would actually happen if we didn’t make it to that one class at 9 am on a Friday morning.

Here is some concrete data to back up your decision to stay in bed and finish this week’s episode of Scandal.

This semester’s tuition cost $24, 270. This means tuition per course is $4,854.00.

We broke down the number of weeks in the semester (16) and the number of days (80), and then excluded the number of holidays and finals, which led to a total of 68 class days in the Fall 2015 semester.

This intense analysis takes into account holidays and study days, which in turn affects the respective prices of each type of class.

The price per minute of class ranges between $2.16 to $2.43 and missing class on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday is $52.01 more per semester than missing class on Tuesday or Thursday.

Here are a just few things you could use $121.35 for instead of your Intro to Christian Theology class on Monday morning:

  •  8 handles of Rubinoff
  • 16 Burritos from El Pelón
  • 45 Iced Coffees at Starbucks

Hope this helps make your decision to be unproductive a little bit easier!

We’ve tried and it definitely doesn’t work.
