Why you might not ‘want Bama’ as much as you think

You can’t handle Bama

It all starts when College GameDay flashes that one fan holding a “We Want Bama” sign. No, it does not stop at the collegiate level, the NFL has even taken part in this bold gesture. A Cleveland Browns fan was even spotted at a game holding a sign with this ever-so-popular saying. Bama is used to being wanted, and every team wants a piece of the defending National Champs. The real question that should be asked before you get that permanent marker out to write those three words onto paper is… do you really want Bama?

Jalen Hurts

Freshmen are supposed to be just that — fresh, new and inexperienced, but freshmen Jalen Hurts is playing like he has been here before. He performs nothing like a freshmen and he was even in consideration for the Heisman at one point during this season. If he keeps this up, we will be sure to see him as a Heisman finalist in the near future. Just like his instagram name “@thefuture_____2” he is the future of Alabama football and he is just get started. Scared yet? Well you should be with the talent he possesses.

Jonathan Allen and The Alabama Defensive Line

Whether you’re witnessing it in person or just seeing replays of it on social media, it’s obvious that the Alabama defense does not do their job gently. The sacks, the hits they deliver that make you hurt from watching them on TV in your living room should be more reasons you do not want Bama. Jonathan Allan was named the top player of 2016 by ESPN, and if you have seen him in action he his more than worthy of this title. Alabama’s defense has scored more touchdowns this season than some other teams in the NCAA have scored offensively. If the talent of the Alabama defense doesn’t make you put your “We want Bama” sign down, I do not know what else will.

Nick Saban

Every football coach and guiro out there wants to know how Nick Saban does what he does. A college football coaching legend doesn’t begin to describe the man. We can review his career coaching stats and not be surprised by the success that he has had over the years. What is scary is with all his prior success this year he seems to have one of the most talented Alabama football teams right in the palm of his hands. That being said, if you are still thinking of holding that “We want Bama” sign I hope that previous sentence will make you reconsider.

The Odds being in Alabama’s Favor

Whether it is Vegas favoring Bama or ESPN analysts, the Crimson Tide usually have the odds on their side. The defending National Champions have every right have people betting they will win the title yet again. Having 16 National Championships to show, I do not think anyone can argue with Alabama’s trophy case. The Crimson Tide have been a part of College Football playoffs since it started in 2014. They will continue their winning streak as they face #4 ranked Washington this weekend in the Peach Bowl for the Semi-finals of the College Football Playoff. So as the Tide keeps dominating all of college football, put your “We want Bama” signs away because their future for success looks brighter than ever.
