A GoFundMe has been started for Chennel Rowe after her white roommate poisoned her

Chennel "Jazzy" Rowe has faced the worst possible start to her freshman year at University of Hartford. Her roommate Brianna Brochu, 18, tampered with her belongings by rubbing her bag with used tampons, spit in her coconut oil, and put her toothbrush inside her rectum. Thankfully, Chennel Rowe's GoFundMe is up and running.

Nicci Morris has started the page to help her. "Every single penny will go to Chennel to use for whatever she needs to deal with the issues related to this situation," she wrote in the fundraiser's description.

Brochu turned herself into the police and was arrested on Oct. 28. She has been charged with criminal mischief, breach of peace and intimidation based on bigotry. She is out on bail and has been expelled from the university. "She will not be returning to the institution,” said University President Greg Woodward.

The Harwinton, Connecticut native shocked students when she started posting on Instagram and Snapchat detailing the lengths she went to make her roommate miserable. Rowe eventually had to go to campus health services and was given antibiotics for bacteria in her throat. She found out why she had been "getting sick" through the social media posts as she was moving out.
