Taco Bell and Lyft have teamed up for ‘Taco Mode’ so you can officially delete every other ride-sharing app now

Drunk tacos have never been more accessible

The days of longingly staring at Taco Bell from your Lyft driver's window are over. Thanks to a new deal called 'Taco Mode,' hungry (or drunk) Lyft customers can now have their Lyft driver take you through a Taco Bell drive-thru between the hours of 9 pm and 2 am with a new in-app function.

Taco Mode comes with other benefits as well, as if being able to get a Double Decker Taco on your way home from a night out wasn't enough. Taco Mode includes a "taco-themed car" with an in car menu and free Doritos Locos tacos.

The feature is being tested in Orange County from July 27 through July 29, as well as August 3 through August 5. Taco Mode hopes to expand nationwide in 2018 after the trial runs.

According to Taco Bell's CMO Marisa Thalberg, "We realized that for every person who has asked their Lyft driver to make a pit stop at Taco Bell — and we've seen many — there are likely those who weren't sure if this was possible…With the advent of this fantastic partnership with Lyft, we will erase any lingering uncertainty and celebrate the ability to 'ride-thru' in Taco Mode."

Not only is this partnership mutually beneficial to Lyft and Taco Bell, but Lyft customers are going to be a lot happier because of it.
