Everyone on Twitter is adding to this thread of women who ‘don’t have time for your shit’, and it’s inspired

In the wake of the Kendal Jenner Pepsi disaster, it seems more important now than ever to showcase the women putting their lives on the line for the sake of their communities, their rights, and the rights of women everywhere.

Earlier this week an image of Saffiyah Khan, in Birmingham, England smiling down on a member of the far-right English Defense League, while defending Saira Zafar, another woman who was being shouted at, went viral, and for a moment, women were in charge of everything.

So it seems timely that there’s currently a thread of “women who don’t have time for your shit” gaining traction on Twitter.

If we were to attempt to make a list of all the women who don’t have time for people’s shit, well, we’d never leave this office, but luckily for us, women everywhere have already jumped on it.

It all began with a twitter user tweeting this image, with the message, “Just a wee thread of women who truly don’t have any time for your shit,” and suddenly, exited users everywhere began sharing their favorite photos of powerful women.

This thread is not only a testament to brave women everywhere, but to women who sand with women, and women who will not be silenced.

These are the women we need as the face of media right now — not Kendal Jenner.

We must learn from the women who fought before us, and the women who fight with us, to inform the women who will fall into our footsteps and fight after us.
