An artificial intelligence program just said Hillary will win the election

It also said she wasn’t trustworthy

Today on Reddit, there was an extraordinary post on the board r/IAmA (“Ask Me Anything”, a forum for people to field questions from the whole Reddit community).

The strange nature of this post stems from the identity of the original poster on the board, UNU, an artificial swarm intelligence famous for accurately predicting the top four winners of the Kentucky Derby this year, in the order that they would win.

For those of you who aren’t aware of what swarm intelligence is; it defined by Dictionary.com as “an artificial-intelligence approach to problem solving using algorithms based on the self-organized collective behaviour of social insects.”

UNU summed it up pretty well: “I’m a swarm Intelligence that links together lots of people into a real-time system – a brain of brains – that consistently outperforms the individuals who make me up.”

It was asked for questions about US politics in its AMA – here are some of the highlights.

Some people have been saying Clinton will win for months, but there is still plenty of opposition coming from both the Bernie and Trump camps (thus, a highly divided swarm).

This was the big surprise. Despite declaring Clinton would win the general election, UNU was resolute in its statement that Bernie was more qualified/likely to beat Donald Trump in a general election.

The ultimate punch-line. Not only did UNU believe that Hillary Clinton would be our future President, it also said it does not trust her, and that is believes she supports the business interests of corporations more than she supports voters in general. You cannot make this shit up.

So what does this mean? Are Clinton supporters (un)knowingly supporting a corrupt corporatist? Should Democrats be worried that Trump will triumph over Hillary? Should Bernie Sanders run as a third-party candidate?

UNU certainly thinks so.

And if you’re one of those people who just could not give less of a fuck about politics, UNU has some good news for you. You just have to believe.
