The York Tab’s Guide to a spooky (and boozy) Halloween: York’s club nights and where to find them

In case you’re in need of last minute Halloween plans x

It’s that time of the year again, Halloween season is well and truly here. Whether you’re planning on sticking on a pair of angel wings and calling it a day (I don’t blame you) or getting fully decked out, one thing is for certain – you’ll want to get absolutely steaming.

For those of you that are still yet to make plans, here is our guide to the best Halloween club nights in York (that aren’t completely sold out yet).

Salvos

You may spend half the night in the smoking area chatting with someone you met once during Freshers’ Week, or falling down the stairs after maybe going a little too hard at pres. With Jason Riley, £3.50 double vodkas and £2.50 jager bombs, who can resist? Though advanced tickets for both their Saturday Fright Night and Monday student Halloween special are sold out, you can still pay on the door, and who doesn’t love making friends in a club queue?

Ziggy’s

This purge-themed Halloween student special on Monday consists of three floors of music, and offers prizes for the best dressed. So get your best costume on and head to Ziggy’s if you fancy two-stepping to a bit of DnB, house and garage or you just want to sing your heart out with cheesy pop tunes and classic Halloween bangers. Final release tickets are still available for £6.

Revs

This riverside bar-turned club is offering a couple of events this Halloween season, and there are plenty of tickets available, so there’s no excuse not to get all dressed up. Exercise caution near the river though, please. We all know it’s hard to have just one jager bomb. Tonight they are putting on a Halloween Freakshow and, for those of you in need of plans for Halloween night itself, on Monday they are hosting a “Psychedelic Wonderland”.

Kuda

Or maybe take your cat ears and fake blood over to York’s home of dnb and house this Halloween. There are still tickets available for their Carnival of The Dead Fright Night tonight, as well as their Halloween Nightmare event on Sunday.
