York’s first ever Campus Pride is happening this Saturday
Pride is coming to our campus!
Max FlynnLGBTQ Social, supported by Band Society and YuFund, will be hosting the University of York's very own Pride event in 2018.
This is the first ever event of its kind on campus and is promised to be a fabulous affair with live music at Greg’s Place and an after party at The Lounge.
The event will culminate in the unveiling of the Campus Pride Pledge, which will be signed by student societies and is intended to celebrate diversity and demonstrate a commitment to inclusivity.
Organisers of the festival told the Tab: "A society’s signature represents
a promise: to respect students’ identities and pronouns, to implement a zero-tolerance policy towards any anti-LGBTQ behaviour, to provide a safe and respectful environment, and to support improvements to the LGBTQ experience at York.
Everyone is welcome to come and join the party, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. We can’t wait to see you there!"
