Guys, Tommy Fong has been spotted outside Willow

He was reading the tributes written on the door

A passer-by in York today took a photo that will resonate with many.

It was of the legendary owner of Willow, Tommy Fong, reading the tributes left on the door that once gave entry to one of York's favourite nightlife spots.

Willow was located on Coney Street, and sadly closed in 2015 after being open for over 40 years. Home of prawn crackers and cheesy music, it was called the 'Berghain of York' by the Guardian.

If you're from York or have been out in York….look who rocked up outside that "random door" next to Clintons 5 minutes…

A screenshot in the comments below the picture, posted by Lee Jordan, appear to confirm that it was Tommy.

Lee Jordan told The Tab:

"Well it's clearly still his home isn't it. Imagining investing that amount of time in something and not feeling anything. People joke but he loved it didn't he?"
