Porn NOT banned on campus

Tissues at the ready

Rumour mill went into overdrive when it was heard access to porn would be banned from uni wifi.

Students across campus were devastated by the news this week.

When told he may no longer be able to have his daily dose of PornHub, Historical Archaeology student James Hawkes said: “But I love porn.

“Being at university is supposed to be a liberating experience and this barrier on my online freedom is making me really reconsider everything I hold dearest in life.”

Where’s my porn at

When asked about the matter, a spokesman for the uni said: The University of York regards Halls of Residence as being students’ homes while they are on campus.

“As such, the University treats internet access via either wired or wireless connections in the same way a home broadband connection would be, and does not block any websites of any type.”

Only God can judge me

So no need to worry. As far as you’re concerned your porn-watching habits at uni can remain the same as they are at home. And your mum will never find out.

The spokesman added: “In line with the University’s policies on harassment and acceptable behaviour, students are expected to be considerate when accessing sites that others may find unacceptable.”

No porn-watching in lectures, folks.
