Marking ten years since their 2009 debut, the latest Warwick Rowers calendar features famous face, Robbie Manson – an openly gay, two-time Olympic athlete from New Zealand.

Manson's involvement speaks to the Warwick Rowers' fierce advocacy of LGBT representation, as well as their condemnation of homophobia in the world of sports. Manson said that "As an LGBT athelete, I value the straight ally message of the Warwick rowers."

Created in 2009, the Warwick Rowers have a come a long way from their humble beginnings. The calendar's roaring success has led to the foundation of their own registered charity, Sport Allies. The charity aims to project more LGBT inclusion in sports and collects at least 20 per cent of profits from all Warwick Rowers merchandise.

But, the calendar is far more than peachy bums and stunning scenes as it features predominantly heterosexual male rowers photographed by an LGBT creative. Thus, it pushes for straight alliance that should create an inclusive sporting environment for all, regardless of sexual orientation.

Warwick ten? Sorry, I don't know her.

As if the wonderful message behind the calendar wasn't enough, this year the action takes place against the impressive backdrop of Italy. And, that's not all there is to smile about as the Rowers have extended their line of merchandise. Don't want a print calendar? Have a coffee table book. Do books not do it for you? Have an exclusive Warwick Rowers onesie. I guess there really is something for everyone, huh?

Happy 2019, indeed.

So, if you want to show your support for a worthy cause, or get your mum a christmas gift she will actually appreciate, look no further than the Warwick Rowers calendar . The gift that keeps on giving. Here's to another ten years.
